She began her journey in the optical industry in 1985, undertaking an apprenticeship in optical fitting and grinding, and completed her Diploma of Optical Dispensing in 1990.
Throughout her career, Janet has developed a deep understanding of lens technology, frame fitting, and personalised patient service. She brings a practical, detail-oriented approach to her work and is passionate about helping patients feel confident and comfortable in their eyewear.
Optometry
Janet joined Ivanhoe East Eyecare in 2014 and has been a cornerstone of the practice ever since. As Practice Manager, she is instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic—organising day-to-day functions, supporting staff, and creating a welcoming environment for all patients.
